Nutrisystem Weight Loss Week 9

So… this happened on Nutrisystem this week. Yeah. I couldn’t believe it either. It’s the final week of my 6-Week Challenge at the YMCA and our final weigh in is tonight. I sure hope this last chance workout before weigh in kicks my butt into the 180s but I’m not holding my breath.

And while I’ve been sticking with Nutrisystem and eating on plan, I’ve also really kicked up my workouts. Aside from working out with a personal trainer twice a week I’ve also been taking classes at the gym and running at home. And it’s starting to show.

Yesterday afternoon my family and I headed out to do a little shopping. And I found myself staring at a clearance rack in Eddie Bauer looking at swim suits. Swim suits that were very inexpensive and super cute. So I bit the bullet and tried on a size 12. Last season I was wearing a size 16. It fit!

I mean, I still have some toning to do before summer but now I have a goal to work towards other than what the scale says. I want to look absolutely fabulous in this suit.

Getting Bathing Suit Ready

Now that summer is right on the horizon I know that I need to step it up and work on getting bathing suit ready. And I can do that with Nutrisystem and a few tools I have in my back pocket.

Here’s how:

1. Have a plan of attack –

I know what I want to work on and how I want to look in my suit. I want to target my butt, thighs, shoulders, and underarm fat. So I’m going to tell my personal trainer that these are the areas I want to target and I’ll work towards toning them. And I have a time frame to do that in. For the next 6 weeks I’ll continue going to my trainer and participating in group personal training. Then I’ll retake the photo above and see how I did!

2. Stick with the diet –

Since I already have a great resource for my food plan I’m going to stick with Nutrisystem to a T. That means no swerving off the path and sampling other things off the menu. I can find the exact same foods that tempt me and make Nutrisystem-approved variations to get me through these next 6 weeks.

3. Find a reward –

Sure, looking great in my bathing suit is reward enough. But if I have an awesome goal at the end of these 6 weeks to look forward to then I’ll be sure to stay focused. I’m hoping to find time to take a little mini-vacation with the husband to Palm Springs or go up the coast so I can actually show off my accomplishments. We’ll decide on the location as we get closer to the end of the 6 weeks.

Now that I have a goal set for the next few weeks, lets check out my progress so far:
