Sharp Healthcare Mobile App

Sharp HealthCare and Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers have made their convenient online patient portal, mySharp, available as an app for Android devices.

Sharp Healthcare Mobile App

Sharp Rees-Stealy patients and those who manage the care of their loved ones will be able to use the app to:

  • Schedule, cancel and view selected appointments
  • View select test results
  • Send a message to their doctor’s office
  • See allergies, conditions, immunizations, medications and vital signs
  • Get directions and maps
  • View a health profile including their allergies, conditions, immunizations, medications and vital signs

How convenient is an app like that? I am so excited that I can now manage my healthcare like I manage my finances and household… from my phone.

No need to worry about missed appointments, waiting for test results, and connecting with my doctors. I can see it all from my phone.

“Since the launch of mySharp in 2010, more than 100,000 people have signed up to manage their health care or the care of their loved one online,” said Stacey Hrountas, CEO of Sharp Rees-Stealy, which is consistently ranked as one of California’s top-performing medical groups with 20 locations throughout San Diego.

“Like the mySharp app for the iPhone and iPad, which we introduced last year, the Android app gives our patients secure, convenient access wherever they have a wireless connection.”

Ease of Use for Existing mySharp Patients

Sharp Rees-Stealy patients with an existing mySharp account can download the Android app suitable for their device.

Sharp Rees-Stealy patients new to mySharp will need to first sign up for an account by visiting from a computer before they can use the app.

The app is available for download on Google Play™, Amazon Appstore for Kindle Fire™ and The NOOK Apps™ store for NOOK®HD and NOOK®HD+.

  5. This is a good idea but i can see it getting some what abused by some people. Don’t get me wrong, it sounds very convenient and has many benefits. I can just see some people sending a message to the doctor as soon as something even in the slightest is wrong.

Great app that i hope gets used correctly.
