Two weeks ago I turned the big 3-0. In celebration of this milestone birthday I decided to make a little time for myself and get pampered. So when I was asked by Spa Week to check out a great spa in town and receive a complimentary service in celebration of Spa Week San Diego and their kick off I replied back with a big yes with no hesitation.
I’m one who truly believes in pampering yourself. As a work at home mom I find myself constantly making time for my family and my job but recently I’ve started to make a conscious effort to make more time for myself. Including a little pampering.
And Bella D’ora Spa was just that. Pampering at it’s finest! Located in Carlsbad, North County moms will find a place to escape to when they enter Bella D’ora Spa.
Bella D’ora Spa is a full service day spa complete with a wide variety of treatments and services available. As soon as I was welcomed in I was shown to the locker room to change into a comfy robe and than relaxed a bit in the waiting room while sipping on some delicious tea.
The custom La Vita Bella massage I was able to indulge in came complete with aromatherapy, warm stones and warm towels. The masseuse was amazing and responded well when I let her know what was bothering me. After my massage I was able to shower (without a kid yelling from behind a bathroom door) and get ready in their locker room.
I left the spa feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! If I’m in North County any time soon I’m sure I’ll be making another appointment! Plus they also do hair, makeup, and nails as well! Talk about full service.

Wow! so relaxing… I love facial.. but sometimes it so annoying when they prick your face especially on the T-zone area..it is so painful! Great way to relax is through massage, i always fall asleep when someone does this to me. Scented candles have this aromatic smell that can help you rest well.
Starbucks is my pampering. Sometimes I only have a few minutes between dropping one kid off before I have to pick up another kid to chauffeur them to another activity, so a few quite moments with coffee is a quick pampering I love.
Making time for myself is nearly impossible, so, I have to SCHEDULE time! 🙂
When my husband is home I say I need to go to the bathroom. When he’s home it’s the only time I can lock the door. Yay. Locked bathroom door equals me time. Thanks for the great giveaway.
Finding time is always hard! Luckily, my husband recognizes that time spent alone is much needed and he always helps out by taking over the parenting duties for an hour or two. Usually I’ll run down to our local mom & pop bookstore to browse books (my reading list is about 50 books long lol) and just sit and chat with whoever is there or read for a bit. Books are my ultimate escape!
I work on making time for myself but just reaching a point once in a while where I demand it! That sounds like a wonderful treat to visit the spa. I think I’ll do it soon.
