I love a good pair of jeans. When you find one that works for your body everything falls into place. And I love that when I find a  good pair, I can dress up jeans from casual to a more classy look when I need it.

As a busy mom I need easy to throw together outfits. Whether I’m wearing jeans and a t-shirt to walk the kids to school, or I get a little more adult and throw on a blouse and jacket, I want to feel good.

Luckily my new Lee jeans make me look and feel good! Even when I had to go from mommy mode to business woman mode at a recent conference I attended.  [Read more…]

The Perfect Date Night Dress from eShakti

eShakti Date Night Dress

Recently my husband and I purchased season tickets to the local theater. We wanted a nice way to spend time together without the kids and loved the idea of pre-planned date nigths for the nights we were at the theater. But these nights out meant I needed a date night dress.

Luckily I had just received an email from eShakti asking if I was interested in trying something from their current line. And I jumped at the chance to try this gorgeous Sheer diamond check A-line dress for myself.

Comfort and Style with Matilda Jane Paint by Numbers

I already checked out the Matilda Jane Paint by Numbers collection on their website and was eyeing pieces like the Molly cardigan and Hazel Circle Skirt. I fell in love with the Collage Kimono Dress. These  pieces looked like they’d fit my body and style well.

When I received the Grape Leaf CardiganFragrant Lilac Tank, and Midnight Big Ruffles I wasn’t quite sure how these pieces would work with me. Since I’m trying to get away from the yoga pants I was hesitant to try on the Midnight Big Ruffles. [Read more…]

Mom Fashion: Finding My Way Out of Yoga Pants

I’ve never been one to say I have a lot of fashion sense. I try and keep up with trends but for the most part I’m usually a season behind… or a year behind. So I’m going to attempt to dabble in mom fashion and challenge myself to ditch the yoga pants.

Now this might take a bit of work so I’m going to have to ask for help. Each week I’ll post a photo of me in an outfit other than my normal mom jeans and a t-shirt or kirkland brand lululemon knock offs, racerback tank, and sports bra.
