Netflix Families in the hotel

With summer’s arrival and the influx of family vacations it can be hard to keep the kids entertained during the lulls of the day. But with Netflix Families we can bring our families together to enjoy some friendly entertainment all at the push of a button.

We’re currently on vacation enjoying the gorgeous Black Hills of South Dakota and to get here we drove to Vegas and then flew out to Rapid City. While on the road and in the hotel there were plenty of moments we turned to Netflix Families for great suggestions on what to have the kids watch.

Netflix.com/Families features several new categories including Family Movie Night, Are We There Yet and TV for Curious Kids. This was perfect for our road trip to Vegas as we enjoyed selecting some great options from the Are We There Yet row. Our kids favorite? Curious George 2 because they go on a trip too!

The best part about this program is that families with Netflix can enjoy their favorites – always without commercials – anytime, anywhere. Plus the cost of this service at $7.99/month won’t break the bank and is definitely cheaper than taking our family of four to the movies. Plus we have money to purchase snacks and popcorn to enjoy with out movie!

When we’re not on the road entertaining the kids with Netflix on one of our tablets or our smartphones we’re playing it via our Roku in the living room. We love that at a moment’s notice we can get the family together and enjoy a movie night complete with freshly popped stovetop popcorn.

The new Netflix.com/Families page is available for both members and non-members! And since many families in the U.S. already have three or more Netflix-ready devices in their household, enjoying the benefits of Netflix couldn’t be easier.

And as we found out on our trip Netflix works on a wide range of devices including:

  • smartphones
  • tablets
  • laptops
  • Smart TVs
  • Sony PlayStation
  • Microsoft Xbox
  • Nintendo Wii

Our preferred devices? Our smartphones, tablets, laptops, and via our Roku device and Google TV. How’s that for options?

My daughter loves to take her favorite shows with her even when she’s not at home. So after a long morning at the pool she can enjoy the movies she watches at home as she relaxes in our cabin.

  1. I have to admit, I love going into the US and getting US Netflix. Bigger variety of programing. I am a fan though have been a loyal customer for three years now.

  2. We had Netflix a couple years ago but definitely weren’t using it to it’s full potential. Seeing how much you can use it, especially while on the go, I’d be willing to give it another try.

  3. We use Netflix all the time. It is a true lifesaver!

  4. Just about 10 minutes ago I went through the site and added about 15 more movies to my queue. I love Netflix!!!

  5. Love Netflix! My son loves Fireman Sam, and it is one of the few places where we can find the show for him to watch.

  6. How did I live without Netflix? We have been subscribers for a long time. My kids love it and I do, too.

  7. We love Netflix. We watch it all the time to catch up on shoes that we enjoy.
