San Diego Restaurant Week is Coming to Town January 19-24 2014

San Diego Restaurant Week Peohes Ceviche Tostadas

Peohes’ Ceviche Tostadas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, it’s not Christmas yet. But San Diego Restaurant Week is coming next week and I cannot wait!

I’m even more excited after being invited to the San Diego Restaurant Week media preview this morning and sampling a few dishes that will make their way on the menus of some of the great restaurants in our awesome city.

If you don’t have your reservations already, take a look at the restaurants participating (and grab a sneak peek at the menus they’ll be offering), and make your reservations today! You won’t be disappointment. I never am.

Every year around this time I take advantage of San Diego Restaurant Week to choose a restaurant I want to try and a restaurant I already love.

That way I get to experience something new while looking forward to a place I love going back to.

This year I’m going to try out Seasons 52 with a friend for lunch while enjoying a dinner date at Searsucker with my husband. I’m getting giddy just thinking about it!

After tasting a few of these delicious dishes I may need to rethink my game plan! The Indigo Grill’s Sweet Corn Tamale topped with braised chicken thigh, guajillo chili butter, and chicken crackling has me wanting more. It was absolutely delicious!

And Bertrand at Mister A’s didn’t disappoint either with their shrimp scampi provençale. Executive chef Stephane Voitzwinkler doesn’t disappoint.

I already love Mister A’s prix fixe theater menu when we’re looking for a bite to eat before heading to the Civic Center for a Broadway San Diego production or the San Diego REP at the Lyceum. And their restaurant week menu looks quite enticing.

Whatever restaurant you choose, come back and let me know what you thought! I’m always looking forward to hearing about restaurants around town that I haven’t tried out before.

These menus already have me salivating. And hoping that most of these restaurants participate in the second week so I have more opportunities to try them out.

What restaurant will you be trying out during Restaurant Week?
