One thing I always keep in my arsenal of meal ideas is something that’s quick and easy for the weekdays. Whether it’s a 10 or a 30 minute meal, as long as the family approves I’m happy!

The whole family definitely approves of Marie Callender’s pot pies. Not only do they taste like homemade but they’re so quick to make. I can use the microwave or the oven depending on how much time I actually have or need.

Easy Dinner Ideas On The Grill

The official end of summer is near and the unofficial end of summer has arrived. While I’m sad to see our summertime fun and memories fade, I’m excited that we’ll still have some warm days upon us to continue using our grill instead of heating up the house inside.

Over this past summer I’ve come to realize that you can grill just about anything. And that includes pizza! Not only is it the perfect way to get a crisp, delicious crust, it evenly cooks all of the toppings so no one is left with a doughy bite.

But pizza isn’t the only thing you can put on the grill… I’ve also started grilling up some desserts and even salad if you can believe it. Salad In A Jar Ideas

Even though I work from home, I need something quick and easy for lunch or else it’s 3pm and I’ve realized I haven’t eaten since breakfast. So when I saw a few salad in a jar ideas I knew I had to create a few of my own.

So when Fresh Express sent out a few coupons for me to test out their salads and partake in their 30-day Salad Swap challenge. Basically the challenge is to take mealtime favorites that are higher in calories and swap them for a delicious, lighter salad creation.

I just took the challenge one step further and put my salad creation into a jar for easy access and easy storage. Now I just have to grab a salad from the fridge and chomp away as I work without actually having to prepare anything! Win-win. [Read more…]

Watermelon Feta Salad Recipe

One thing I love about barbecues is the food. Having the opportunity to bring out our favorite summer flavors into the recipes we create is something I love. And this watermelon feta salad does just that.

Not only is it easy (um… 3 ingredients that you simply chop and mix together) but it’s a great recipe to help cool us down. With all of the heavy, fat ladened pasta salad choices, this salad leaves a refreshing choice that your guests are bound to love.

I made this recipe back when I hosted our lego party and created more of an appetizer with the presentation so having it in salad form made it much easier for me to create and serve.
