Valentine’s Day is a fun time for couples to show their love for each other. However, when you have kids, it can be a little tricky to teach them about what Valentine’s Day means without all the gushy mushy stuff.

Knotts Berry Farm Camp Snoopy Celebrating 30 Years

This past Saturday I took my family up to Knott’s Berry Farm for the first time ever. We were invited up to check out the recently revamped Camp Snoopy and Calico Mine Ride.

My husband and kids have never been to Knott’s Berry Farm and it’s been ages since I’ve gone so it was quite a treat for us all. And boy did they have a great time!

Knotts Berry Farm Camp Snoopy is celebrating their 30th birthday this year and in addition to some of the fun rides they already have, they’ve also added a few additional rides to the mix.

A few weeks ago a very special boy celebrated a very big birthday. My son turned 5. And in celebration of this huge milestone birthday we headed to Legoland for the weekend. And he gave me the scoop on the top 5 things to do at Legoland California when you’re 5.

Because it’s a totally different experience from when you were 4. Or 3. No, seriously. It is. And it’s so much cooler!

5 Places to Take Kids When It’s Raining

Are you going insane right now frantically thinking about how to entertain your kids after days and days of rainfall? Well surprisingly, right now here in San Diego we’re going through the same thing.

Because we live in sunny So Cal we normally don’t have to deal with rain but we desperately needed it. So instead of cursing at the fact that it is raining, I’m embracing it and figuring out places to take the kids when it’s raining. Because we all have to stay sane.

I was kinda surprised when asking my friends that there weren’t too many places to take them but if we got creative, alternate locations could totally work. And? A few of them are free! [Read more…]

Living Coast Discovery Center San Diego

I’ve lived in San Diego all my life and am still amazed when I find out about places I’ve never been before. When I first heard about the Living Coast Discovery Center San Diego while visiting their booth at the fair I was excited to find out how much they had to offer.

While we’ve been members of Sea World, currently have memberships at the San Diego Zoo and Birch Aquarium, and go to the museums and beaches whenever we can, we still crave new experiences. Especially when they’re only 10 minutes away from our house. The Living Coast Discovery Center offers this and more!

This weekend we headed out to the Discovery Center to participate in a VIP Experience. And boy did we feel like VIPs on our visit!
