My daughter is obsessed with letters and spelling right now. She might only be two but she’s constantly asking me how to spell names of people, places, and things. So I figured I’d start going through the alphabet with her and to make it fun I’ve made this Alphabet Worksheet for Preschoolers that we can work through as she asks about different letters.
Today we started with the letter A.

It’s blueberry season! And what better to do than make some blueberry coffee cake? I picked up a huge tub of blueberries at Costco this week and knew this is exactly what I wanted to do.
I absolutely love the tart and sweetness that comes from this cake. And the topping (mirrored off of my overnight french toast topping) sends this cake over the top! Good thing we call it a coffee cake so it technically counts as a breakfast food.

It’s no secret that I love to host a good party. So when the middle of summer came around I knew we had to have a celebration with our friends and make the most of the final weeks of fun in the sun. Hosting a Minnie Mouse summer party seemed like the perfect way to do just that.
Good thing there’s a great selection of Hallmark Disney-branded party goods and an extensive selection of Disney cakes available at our local Walmart. Planning this party was a breeze since all of the things I needed to make it fabulous were easily accessible.
We sent out our invitations to our playgroup and headed to Walmart to pick up the essentials for our party. We called ahead the day before to make sure they could create a cake perfect for our summery theme and once we had a pick up time we were on our way! Do you ever just get a craving for a meal you normally only have once or twice a year? This past week I was craving the classic flavors of Thanksgiving and couldn’t get it off my mind. So on our weekly run to Trader Joe’s I picked up some turkey breast tenderloins.
They looked almost exactly like the boneless skinless chicken breast I purchase only they were a bit larger. I figured I could simply use the flavors I love from turkey day and modify them a bit to create a tasty weeknight meal.
I’m so glad we went with recreating a classic holiday meal. Not only did it hit the spot but it gave me the opportunity to think outside the box when making dinner. I don’t think I’ll be sticking with just chicken breast when it comes to poultry now!
