Great Gift Ideas for the Whole Family - from pregnancy and newborns to kids and adults!
So one of my girlfriends reminded me the other day that there are only 6 more Fridays before Christmas. Whaaat?? That was totally a wake up call to get the ball rolling and start thinking of gift ideas for the whole family.

Good thing my kids never stop adding things to their “list” year round when we’re at stores and when they watch a show on one of “those” networks with all of the kid-geared commercials.

I’ve rounded up a few of our favorite gifts this season and have included something for each member of the family! Including me. Because you can’t forget the big pregnant lady, right?

Chalkboard Easter Eggs

With Lent here Easter is just around the corner and that means that the Easter decorations start coming out. Our egg wreath is on the door, spring mantel is put in place, and a few crafts are ready to be made. Including these chalkboard Easter eggs.

Not only are these easy to make, they’re lots of fun for the kids! And the perfect way to keep the kiddy table at Easter brunch entertained.

My kids love that they can write their own Easter egg designs on the eggs and then wipe them off and start again. And it’s a great way for the kids to practice writing their names! [Read more…]

Easy DIY Dinosaur Valentine Printables for Kids

These easy DIY dinosaur valentine printables are the perfect non-edible valentine to pass out in the classroom this Valentine’s Day! They also make great dinosaur party favors.

Ever since my son was little, maybe 15 months or so, he’s been obsessed with dinosaurs. And that all started when he watched his first episode of Dinosaur Train on PBS. So it was no surprise when I asked him what he wanted to pass out on Valentine’s Day and he said dinos.

So I headed to the dollar store (his favorite place to pick up dinos other than Target) and grabbed 10 dinos. Then I whipped up a dinosaur valentine printable using picmonkey. Want to make your own printable? Follow my instructions here!

After that, assembling the valentines was simple and took all of 10 minutes from start to finish. And now I don’t have to worry about either kid for Valentine’s Day (since I finished my daughter’s last week).

What you’ll need:

What you do:

1. Place dinosaurs in the plastic bags. If your child is worried about the dinos suffocating, don’t completely zip the tops.

2. Cut out the printables and fold in half. Have your child write their name and the names of the recipients on the printables.

Tips for Organizing Holiday Decorations

I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Brother P-touch. I received a product samples to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

tips for organizing holiday decor
I’m a crazy person when it comes to holiday decorations. I love being able ot fill the house with fun reminders of the holidays coming up and enjoy making and purchasing holiday decor. The one thing I don’t like? Organizing holiday decorations.

So when I received my Brother P-touch PT-H100 label maker a few months ago I knew the one project I needed to tackle after the holidays was to organize my holiday decor. And that includes big and little holidays.

Because when I head out to the garage to grab the next holiday’s bin, I don’t want to see Christmas in the Valentine’s & Easter box. Because next Christmas I’ll be wondering where the tree skirt went. [Read more…]
